Welcome to the wiki version of our new book: Flow Cytometry - A Basic Introduction.

Mission

This site is devoted to building a connected community around Flow Cytometry. It is intended to serve as a resource for information, protocols, e-Learning and resources. We have chosen the wiki format to allow all users to contribute their experience and knowledge to build a vibrant community. Please see the preface for more comments on the mission of the site.

What is a Wiki?

Almost every page is editable by all users of our site. We rely on our community members to help add and maintain the content of the site. We hope that you will participate. Everyone has knowledge they can share to improve the quality and usefulness of flow cytometry around the world. You can also find a static web version of the book by clicking here. The static version is maintained exclusively by Dr. Michael Ormerod and contains all of the information in the book.

A bonus feature of the online version of the book is that most of the figures have links to the data file from which they were derived. If you have downloaded the free FCS Express Reader, you can open the analysis layout that was used to create each figure. In some cases, extra information about the figure is supplied, including other data files. The reader can experiment with the data, changing the position of the gates, markers, quadrants etc.
